Located 5 minutes walk from Reading town centres restaurants, shops and bars. All of our rooms have ensuites, 21 televisions with digibox, hair dryers, direct dial telephones and internet access and generous welcome trays with snacks. Some rooms have mini fridges. Choice of either a full English breakfast or a lighter option, both of which can be served in your room. Laundry service and evening snacks available. Internet and fax facilities available. Good quality, clean accommodation and high levels of service are our priorities. Most credit cards accepted.

DO NOT VEER LEFT)- Go through lights and take immediate left onto exit ramp (signposted Oxford A34)- Take Left at roundabout and go up Castle Hill- Take Right at lights into Russell Street- Take first Right into Russell St (30 Metres)- Amherst Guest House is the fourth on the right.From the North - From M1, M25 then M4 see ?From The West? aboveFrom the North (A4074): approx. 4 miles- Approach Reading through Caversham and follow Town centre signs Royal Mail on LHS - Fire Station on RHS then Straight through two sets of lights onto Inner Distribution Road- Take second exit signposted Police Station- Take right at roundabout (Police Station on LHS at top of exit ramp) onto Castle Hill- Take Right at lights into Russell Street- Take first Right into Russell St (30 Metres)- Amherst Guest House is the Forth on the rightFrom the South (A33): approx 5 miles- At M4 (J 11) roundabout follow Reading town centre signs, veering left (Green Park on LHS)- Straight across two roundabouts pass BandQ, Pizza Hut etc on LHS- At third roundabout (Large with lights) go straight- Fourth roundabout go straight- At lights go straight (get into middle lane)- Get into left hand lane and go through next lights - At next lights (20 yards) go straight onto ramp (signposted Oxford A34)- Take Left at roundabout and go up Castle Hill- Take Right at lights into Russell Street- Take first Right into Russell St (30 Metres)- Amherst Guest House is the fourth on the right
